What to do today
About Bondi Beach
Bondi can be the start of a beach morning or a much longer day along Sydney’s coast. Tourism Australia describes the Bondi to Coogee walk as a six-kilometre coastal route passing beaches, ocean baths and coves. Add stops and a swim, and you may be outdoors far longer than the walking time alone.
What the forecast covers
The chart is centred at Bondi Beach. It gives an area forecast for planning, rather than a measurement along every stretch of the coastal path. Shade beside a building or under a shelter will not follow the same pattern as the open beach.
Timing the coastal walk
Check the UV curve against both your start and finish time. If you are walking back as well, include that second leg. Plan a stop under cover around the daily peak when possible, and keep your sun gear with you after leaving the sand.
Beach time after the walk
It is easy to finish a walk and stay for another hour by the water. Look again at the forecast before turning a short outing into the rest of the day. Swimming conditions are a separate check: use local beach signs and lifeguard advice when deciding where to enter the water.
Sun protection tips for Bondi Beach
